I very recently learnt of the existence of Painter Essentials. The moment I did, I knew I wanted it, and now that I've had a chance to play with it for a few days, I'd like to share my thoughts about it.

I'm kind of blown away by this.

Today, I went to a meetup - a really good, fun place. Several people were doing crafts, a couple of people were drawing. I'd forgotten to bring anything, and a friend said 'hey, I have pen and paper if you want'.

I have a new icon! I also have acquired the ability to make custom brushes for stamping - the lineart kind - which wasn't entirely trivial in Manga Studio. (There are plenty of tutorials for Photoshop. Manga Studio is kind of a niche thing, but I am very, VERY impressed with its abilities.)

And I made an Art.
